KILIDER has developed a self-invented patented drum unit for Ricoh color A3 copiers MPC6003/6004/IMC6000/6010. This drum unit has obtained the approval of the Chinese National Intellectual Property Administration and has been granted the invention patent number: ZL202411269135.8.
The KILIDER technical team addressed the design flaw of the original MPC6003/6004/IMC6000/6010 series drum units from Ricoh, where the carrier in the developer unit spills onto the drum frame during transportation, causing the magnetic rod and gears inside the drum unit to jam. This issue has caused significant inconvenience as users have to disassemble and clean the components before continuing to use them. There is a pressing need for alternative high-quality drum units that can solve this problem for customers both domestically and internationally.To address these pain points, the KILIDER technical team purchased a large number of original MPC6003/6004/IMC6000/6010 series drum units and machines from Ricoh for research, testing, and technical analysis. Drum units are crucial parts of printers and copiers, requiring high precision and intensive technical expertise. There are strict requirements for the coordination, torque, and corresponding parameters among various components. While accurately avoiding the original patent, the KILIDER technical team made appropriate adjustments to the positions and parameters of internal components of the drum unit. They created a new drum unit that is independently innovative and suitable for the Ricoh MPC6003/6004/IMC6000/6010 series. The new drum unit has passed environmental and printing tests, meeting all the required indicators. It has also successfully passed vibration and long-distance transportation tests, effectively preventing issues such as component and gear jamming caused by carrier overflow.
Furthermore, the KILIDER technical team optimized the structure and some component parameters of the original drum units, developing drum units that can be universally used in different series of machines.
